Hanleys Farm Skate Park
Client: Whitestones / RCL
Date: September - November 2024
Description:
Strata Civil was contracted by Whitestone Contracting to deliver all concrete components of the Hanley’s Farm Skatepark, now fully completed and operational. The scope of work included:
Formwork construction for all skateable elements, ensuring precise shaping and alignment.
Installation of reinforcement steel to meet structural requirements and durability standards.
Placement of steel coping, critical for edge protection and rider performance.
Concrete placement, using a combination of Ceramic Grey, Metal Grey, and Mint coloured mixes to achieve both aesthetic variation and surface integrity.
Shotcrete application for curved and vertical features, requiring specialized equipment and skilled operators.
The project demanded a high level of accuracy and coordination due to the complex geometries and performance expectations inherent in skatepark design. Strata Civil’s team worked to tight tolerances to ensure smooth transitions, consistent finishes, and long-term resilience under heavy use.
This was a very fun project, and it has been great to hear a huge amount of positive feedback from the skate community regarding the design and the finish to the skatepark.
